These packages endeavor to cater to all experience levels and I can offer packages from easy day hikes to multi day missions and epic overnight heli adventures. We are surrounded by so much natural beauty in New Zealand, let’s head out for the day and explore a little slice of what it has to offer. Great for people who would love to get out and experience something a bit different but equally great for seasoned hikers who are sick of trying to perfect the self-timer function on their iPhones.

Gone bush

Dust off the hiking boots and let’s hit the hills. Be it the valleys or the tops we can plan the perfect adventure accessible by foot for you and your better half. After some careful preparation and selecting a spot which would work well for your experience and fitness level we can lock down a date to head bush. 

This package covers two days including a stay overnight at a back country hut close to the shoot location. We will also take time to stop and take some photos along the way as the journey is often just as beautiful as the destination. After a day in the bush there is nothing quite like a beautiful bottle of vino and some dinner by the fire some great yarns and maybe a few toasted marshmallows. you will need to bring your own sleeping bags, warms clothes, cutlery, plates / bowls and food, although we can go shopping the morning of to make sure everyone is catered for. After a great nights sleep we’ll be out the door and have you back at home just as fast as your legs can carry you.

Easy up hill

Hiking for two days isn’t up everyone’s alley; and even if it is, sometimes it’s nice to skip straight to the destination without all the sweat. This package includes a chopper flight up to tops of the Tararua Ranges or a similarly spectacular location in the valley. After landing it’s time to soak up the spectacular views, maybe pop a bottle of bubbles, have a snack and make some incredible memories that will last a lifetime before a short flight back to reality.

Over night heli

This overnight adventure is the best of both worlds! We will fly into the Tararua Ranges and be dropped near a DOC hut which will be our base camp for the trip. With time up our sleeve we can explore at length to find the best spot imaginable or equally we can relax with a cuppa and bikkie before making the most of the glorious evening light. The benefit of being dropped on the top is we can take the heavy bottles of wine and extravagant food that wouldn’t make it if we were carrying it. This means we can have a wonderful night of hospitality! The next day we are hopefully treated to a wonderful sunrise before breakfast and being picked up by the heli and dropped back to reality. Equally if you’re wanting a bit of everything there is also an option to walk out after being dropped in, if that sounds like you, let me know!

All Round adventure

These packages are by no means geared towards just couples nor are they exclusively in the Tararua Ranges. Whether you’d love to create some incredible memories of a hike with your best mates or showcase your back country missions with a bit more style i’m keen to get on board and create those amazing photos that you always wished you had the time or effort to make when you’re in the outdoors. I’m hugely passionate about being out in nature and sharing in those experiences with others so whatever your adventure may be, get in touch and I’ll tailor a package specifically for you. Rates will be charged out per day or half day regardless of group numbers so get your friends involved and make it cheaper for everyone!
